Townsville wedding photography
Hannah & Norm first got in touch with us about their wedding photography way back in early 2018. Originally they'd planned a 2019 wedding at their beautiful property in Bluewater, Townsville. They came for a coffee and stayed for hours, chatting about the various travels we had in common, and their plans for their day. They're both so lovely and just wanted a relaxed wedding with a real rustic rural feel. They wanted to get their gardens just perfectly ready for their outdoor wedding and so planned in an 18month gap before their day. Fast forward to January 2019 and then disaster struck in the form of the Townsville floods and their beautiful property was hit pretty badly, forcing them to delay their plans to May 2020.
Well, we all know what happened next. These poor guys were forced to once again push back their wedding AGAIN! Honestly we all couldn't believe their bad luck especially to such a lovely couple. They are two of the nicest people we've ever met! But, what could anyone do but delay again to 2021 and this time it finally happened!
Hannah and Norm live in a fairly rural area and have the most wonderful home. Hannah is totally infatuated with ducks and they keep their own pigs and have two greyhound rescues, Willow & Marcus who were of course a big part of their day. Willlow was very friendly, Marcus a little shy, but I loved them both, and Willow did make sure she was a big part of the ceremony, literally poking her nose in halfway through the vows!
The day was relaxed and very casual and when I left, the huge bonfire had been lit and they were continuing the celebrations. The usual traditions aren't important to them, more that they had the best time, surrounded by their family and friends. Their photos while important, were about celebrating these things and I tried to capture the moments and parts of the day that they would appreciate and value the most.
Thank you Hannah & Norm for giving me the opportunity to join your world for this day. It was an absolute honour and I loved hanging out with you all.
