
One of the many reasons I love photographing weddings in Australia is that our we have the flexibility to add traditions or customs to our wedding ceremonies.
Jules and I were married in the UK and the law is very rigid in what you can do with your wedding ceremony. You pretty much all follow the same structure, there's not much scope for bringing in any of your own personality or anything important to you.
Kendall & Sachi added a traditional Sinhelese Poruwa ceremony to their Port Douglas wedding, following the Chapel ceremony. It was so beautiful to watch and to photograph with the bright colours and different rituals and I love having to think about new opportunities and angles for unexpected moments!
